Learn how to delete a Mekong Korea account and data connected through Facebook Login.
Mekong Korea uses Facebook Login only to create, link, and authenticate member accounts. The Facebook information used by the service is the app-scoped user ID, name, email address, and profile picture.
How to delete your Facebook-linked Mekong Korea data
1. Sign in to Mekong Korea with Facebook.
2. Open My Page.
3. Select Edit Info, then open the account security section.
4. Select Delete Account (Withdraw Membership).
5. Review the notice and confirm the deletion.
What happens after deletion
- The Facebook social-account link, app-scoped Facebook ID, provider email, provider name, profile-picture URL, and stored Facebook profile response are deleted.
- Active login sessions, saved precise-location consent data, and the locally stored avatar image are deleted.
- The member account is withdrawn and identifying profile fields are replaced with an anonymous withdrawn-member identity.
- Posts or transaction records that must remain for service integrity or applicable legal obligations may be retained without the former member's identifying profile information. Records required by law are protected and retained only for the required period.
If you cannot sign in
Send an email with the subject "Facebook Data Deletion Request" to mekongkorea.help@gmail.com. Include the email address used for the Mekong Korea account. We may request limited information necessary to verify account ownership before processing the request.
